Using Ginext
How do I use it?
Dilute 3–5 drops per teaspoon (5 ml) of a carrier oil — jojoba, sweet almond, fractionated coconut or plain olive oil. Massage into the area for 30–60 seconds. Repeat 2–3 times daily.
Can I apply it undiluted?
No. Ginger essential oil is concentrated and should never go onto skin neat. Undiluted application risks irritation and sensitisation — and sensitisation to an essential oil tends to be permanent once it happens. Always dilute, and always patch test a new product on your inner forearm for 24 hours first.
Can I ingest it? Put it in tea?
No. Ginext is sold for topical use only. Essential oils are dramatically more concentrated than culinary ginger, and internal use of any essential oil should only happen under qualified clinical supervision. If you want ginger internally, use fresh root, culinary ginger, or a standardised oral ginger supplement.
How long before I notice anything?
The warming sensation typically arrives within a few minutes of massaging it in. For the everyday stiffness most people buy it for, give it consistent twice-daily use across 2–4 weeks before forming a view.
How long does a bottle last?
A 15 ml bottle holds roughly 300 drops. At 4 drops per application, twice daily, that is about five to six weeks of continuous use on one area.
Where can I apply it?
Knees, shoulders, hands, calves, feet, lower back — anywhere you would normally massage. Avoid broken skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Wash your hands after applying.
The Product
Does Ginext contain gingerol?
Not in meaningful amounts — and neither does any other steam-distilled ginger essential oil. Gingerols and shogaols are non-volatile compounds that stay behind in the oleoresin during distillation. What steam distillation yields is the sesquiterpene fraction, principally α-zingiberene. If you see a ginger essential oil advertising a gingerol percentage, ask the seller for the GC/MS report.
What's actually in it?
One thing: steam-distilled Zingiber officinale root oil. No carrier oil padding the volume, no synthetic fragrance, no fillers.
Is it third-party tested?
Yes, every batch is GC/MS profiled by an independent lab. Email us your batch code and we will send you that batch's certificate of analysis.
Why amber glass?
Sesquiterpenes degrade under UV light. Clear glass or plastic bottles are a cost saving that comes out of the product's shelf life.
How should I store it?
Upright, capped tightly, away from direct light and heat. Unopened it keeps 24 months; once opened, use within 12 months.
Safety
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Talk to your doctor before using it. We can't give individual medical advice.
I take blood thinners. Is that an issue?
Ginger may interact with anticoagulant medication. Check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
Can children use it?
Not under 6 years old. For older children, dilute further and speak to your paediatrician.
What if I get a reaction?
Stop using it, wash the area with soap and water, and email us — we will refund you. Seek medical advice if the reaction is severe or persists.
